from WikipediaRead it all ↗A post office has been in operation at Hazen since 1885. A. D. Hazen, an early postmaster, gave the settlement its name. Hazen was laid out in 1913, when the railroad was extended to that point. The Fred Krause House, now on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1916.
