from Wikipedia & the U.S. CensusOcean Pointe is a housing development and a census-designated place (CDP) located in the ʻEwa District and the City & County of Honolulu on the leeward side of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi about fifteen miles (24 km) from Honolulu. As of the 2020 census, Ocean Pointe had a population of 14,965. This general area was previously known just as ʻEwa. In the late 19th century to early 20th century, ʻEwa was one of the large population centers on the Island of Oʻahu, with industry focused around sugar cane production. Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population grew from 8,361 to 14,965 (+79%). Half of its homes were built before 2009.
