Ladysmith is a city and the county seat of Rusk County, Wisconsin, United States, where U.S. Route 8 and Wisconsin Highway 27 meet and cross the Flambeau River. The population was 3,216 at the 2020 census. The town has transitioned from logging in the 1800s to a 2025 economy dominated by manufacturing, then healthcare and social assistance, retail, and public administration.
