Carnegie Public Library serves Las Vegas’s 13,166 residents. Last year it logged 9,084 visits, about 0.7 for every resident, and lent 7,415 books, movies and e-books.
It’s open about 51 hours a week at 500 National Avenue. A card also gets you e-books, audiobooks and research databases.
Last year the library ran 170 programs, 166 of them for kids up to age 11, drawing 478 people.
