from WikipediaRead it all ↗Kindred was platted in 1880 when the railroad was extended to that point. The city was named for William A. Kindred, a local businessman and afterward mayor of Fargo, North Dakota. A post office has been in operation at Kindred since 1881. Kindred was incorporated as a village on March 10, 1920 and as a city on April 3, 1950.
