City in North Carolina, United StatesBurlington is a city in predominantly Alamance County (with western outskirts of the city in Guilford County) in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The city is located in the Piedmont Triad, where it is the principal city of the Burlington, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area, located directly east of the Greensboro-High Point Metropolitan Area. The population of the city of Burlington was 57,303 at the 2020 census, which makes Burlington the 18th-most populous city in North Carolina.
