from Wikipedia & the U.S. CensusMount Pleasant Township is one of twenty-four townships in Bates County, Missouri, and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area within the USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 5,060. The township was descriptively named.
Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population fell from 5,079 to 4,952 (-3%). Half of its homes were built before 1969.
