State Highway 73 (MN 73) serves as a main route in the township. Other routes include Prairie Lake Road and Hingeley Road. The town was named after its "numerous little lakes" by its settlers.
Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population fell from 134 to 114 (-15%). Half of its homes were built before 1975.
