Solon Township is a civil township of Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,496 at the 2020 census, a notable increase from 5,974 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and is located about 15 miles (24 km) north of the city of Grand Rapids.
