Romulus is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A western suburb of Detroit, Romulus is located roughly 20 miles (32.2 km) southwest of downtown Detroit, and is most notable as the location of Detroit Metropolitan Airport. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 25,178.
