from Wikipedia & the U.S. CensusMaple River Township is a civil township of Emmet County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,295 at the 2020 census. Mennonite settlers from Waterloo County, Ontario arrived in Maple River in 1883.
Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population fell from 1,348 to 1,295 (-4%). Half of its homes were built before 1991.
