About Manchester
City in Michigan, United StatesManchester is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,037 at the 2020 census. Settled as early as 1833, Manchester incorporated as a village in 1867. On November 7, 2023, 66 percent of village residents voted in favor of incorporating Manchester as an autonomous city. Manchester officially became a city on November 15, 2023 with the mayor and city councilmembers sworn into office on November 20, 2023.
