from Wikipedia & the U.S. CensusLeesville is a city in and the parish seat of Vernon Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 5,649 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Fort Polk South micropolitan area and is additionally served by the Leesville Airport. The city is home to the Fort Polk (known as Fort Johnson from 2023-2025) U.S. Army installation.
Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population fell from 6,612 to 5,649 (-15%). Half of its homes were built before 1977.
