from Wikipedia & the U.S. CensusHarris Township is one of thirteen townships in St. Joseph County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of the 2000 census, its population was 19,873. Harris Township was organized in 1836. The township was named after the Harris family, a local family of pioneer settlers.
Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population grew from 23,454 to 24,397 (+4%). Half of its homes were built before 1992.
