The story so far
from Wikipedia & the U.S. CensusSummit Township is one of fifteen townships in Effingham County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 3,760 and it contained 1,774 housing units.
Summit was established in 1860. Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population grew from 3,584 to 3,760 (+5%). Half of its homes were built before 1990.
