Allison Township is located in Lawrence County, Illinois. As of the 2020 census, its population was 278 and it contained 153 housing units. Allison Township derives its name from Allison's Prairie, which was settled by the Allison family in the 1810s.

Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population grew from 267 to 278 (+4%). Half of its homes were built before 2013.
