It was designated a Census-designated place (CDP) by the Census Bureau by the 2010 census. The CDP had a total area of 2.82 square miles (7.3 km2), with a population of 3,787 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Pensacola—Ferry Pass—Brent, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Pea Ridge is located at 30°35′46″N 87°07′14″W, at an elevation of 148 feet (45 m).
Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population grew from 3,587 to 3,787 (+6%). Half of its homes were built before 1990.
