Mild winters, hot summers
Paradise has mild winters and hot summers, with plenty of rain. A typical July afternoon reaches 93°, a January night drops to 40°, and snow is almost unheard of.
Paradise is an incorporated town in Butte County, California, United States, in the Sierra Nevada foothills above the northeastern Sacramento Valley. As of the 2020 census, the town population was 4,764, a decline of over 80% from the 26,218 residents recorded in the 2010 census. On November 8, 2018, a major wildfire, the Camp Fire, killed 85 people and destroyed much of Paradise and Magalia, as well as most of Butte Creek Canyon and Concow. In November 2023, it was reported that there were a little over 9,000 residents living in Paradise, roughly double the number from three years prior. Over 2,500 new structures had also been built, with more construction ongoing.
