Lane is a town in Jerauld County, South Dakota, United States. As of the 2020 census, Lane had a population of 47. Lane was laid out in 1903, and named in honor of T. W. Lane, an early settler. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.47 square miles (1.22 km2), all land.
