Wayne's Founding Story

I was reading about the history of our town and stumbled upon the fact that Wayne was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 12, 1847, from portions of Manchester Township. Do newer residents know about the origins of our town and how it has evolved over time?
