Arkwright is a town in Chautauqua County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town population was 1,000. It is named after Richard Arkwright, the inventor of a spinning device. Arkwright is in the northeastern quadrant of Chautauqua County and is southeast of the city of Dunkirk.
