Amityville is a village mostly in the Town of Babylon in Suffolk County, with a small portion in Town of Oyster Bay on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 9,500 at the time of the 2020 census. The village maintains its own accredited law enforcement agency, the Amityville Police Department.
