City in Michigan, United StatesMelvindale is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring, Downriver suburb of Detroit, Melvindale is located roughly 8 miles (12.9 km) southwest of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 12,851.
