Get to know Grandview
The practical stuff — trash day, town hall, schools — plus the town’s story and where to go. Kept current by neighbors.
Fix a detail, add a fact, or just confirm something’s still right. A change goes live once two neighbors confirm it — and you earn karma for keeping the guide fresh.
Add a fact and it’s pending until two neighbors confirm it (or one Steward) — then it goes live and you earn the points. Confirming earns +1 right away, and you can’t confirm your own. Explainers are one neighbor’s take, so they post right away. A fact’s stamp turns from green to amber as it ages, nudging a re-check.

About Grandview
Abandoned townsiteGrand View, also labeled as Grandview, was a town and former county seat of Douglas County, South Dakota. Grand View was located in the southern half of Section 13 of Grandview Township and part of the northern half of Section 24. A historical marker along west of the intersection of 392nd Avenue and 276th Street displays a town map and history. Like many early settlements in the West, it was abandoned as residents moved to towns closer to the railroad, like future county seat Armour.
