It lies along State Route 99, 12 miles (19 km) north of the city of Darien, the county seat of McIntosh County. Its elevation is 30 feet (9.1 m) above sea level. It has a post office with the ZIP code 31304. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 838.
